Hello, My Mother was from Elkhorn City, Ky. Her name is Alma Adams Robertson McGuffey.
Think We'll Have Winter This Year?
The answer is in: Duh! Winter settled in full force the week before Christmas leaving over 10 inches of snow over town. The wet, heavy snow downed trees and power lines, leaving thousands in the region without electricity for days. Snow and below freezing temperatures returned for the New Year and haven't let up in the first week of the year. Looks like January is going to take care of the bugs next spring!
