Native Plant GardenOver 30 species of native plants and trees make up the garden that surrounds the concrete and stone benches. Designed by California eco-artist Susan Steinman, this garden was planted by school children and local residents and represents the natural environment of the Kentucky Mountains. Nearby a tile mural, designed by students of the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, identifies several of the most prominent plants.
